John Suess from The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. John is the Lead Investigator on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Public Safety Commission (MSDPSC). The commission was established to investigate the events on the day of the shooting in Parkland back in February 2018 and to review system failures in the fields of law enforcement, school safety, and mental health. Sergeant Suess oversaw and was involved in all aspects of the investigation and testified in front of the commission on multiple occasions. Currently, Sergeant Suess is sharing the findings of the MSDPSC with organizations throughout Florida and the United States. He will share actual video footage from the Parkland tragedy with our attendees. This topic is a tough one but, unfortunately, is also a very real and all-too-frequent concern in our society today and John’s presentation promises to be very enlightening.
